My Growing Obsession

So.. I have a confession to make. It seems that I have become a little bit obsessed with Laura Geller makeup, if you couldn't tell already. I just love all of her products and to be fair, nine of the products pictured above did come as a gift set, so its not that bad right? Anyway, there's no point in trying to justify myself because I know for a darn fact that I will just keep buying her products until I have every single one. Laura is particularly known for her collection of baked cosmetics, which are pictured above and now here are my reasons for why I love Laura and her amazing makeup so much..

Firstly, her baked cosmetic collection is handmade in Italy, yes thats right, ITALY!! Now who doesn't want to own handmade makeup that is made in a beautiful country like Italy?. Secondly, for a high end cosmetic brand, everything is actually quite affordable. I mean obviously not high street affordable, but just about the perfect amount of affordable for say a student who has just received her monthly bonus and wants to treat herself to a fancy new lipstick.

As for why I love the woman herself, I just love how she is so involved with her customers and audience and takes their views into consideration, she find out exactly what women and girls want in cosmetics and she does her best to provide for their needs. She is also involved in several charities, including various cancer-focused charities dedicated to empowering and educating people with cancer. I also always see her on a really famous shopping channel known in the UK as QVC, demonstrating to her audience exactly how to use each product, giving you handy little tips along the way. And the final thing is that she has the most humble and kindest personality that just draws you in every time you see her showing off her fabulous new collections.

As for the products themselves, just looking at them makes you feel so warm and fuzzy inside because they are all delicately made to look so beautiful and intricate. Their design is so unusual compared to other cosmetics that you see everyday, which is what makes the fact that they are 'baked' so appealing.

They also come in handy little compacts which are perfect for slipping in your makeup bag so that you don't have to worry about it being too heavy or bulky, and its not just the product packaging that's amazing but also the packaging that the products are delicately placed in as you can see from the macaroon box above. Last Christmas I also received another gift set which came in a gorgeous black pouch with a red rim around the top and a little zip which was in the shape of little red lips. And the final reason (I'm nearly finished don't worry) which I absolutely adore are the names of each product. My favourites include Gingerbread, Lychee Rose, Toasted Coconut, and Dulce De Leche.
Here are some favourites from my little collection:
 Products/Sets Pictured Above:
- 9 Piece Baked Macaroons Compact Collection, includes 3 blushes, 3 highlighters and 3 eyeshadows.
- Baked 101 set, includes a colour correcting foundation, colour correcting bronzer, baked cheek colour in Pink Buttercream, and a baked marble eyeshadow du in Pink Icing/Devils Food, as well as a mini powder and duo eye brush.
