Review: Urban Decay Naked Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup

March 17, 2015

Last summer when I was getting ready for my Year 11 prom, I had the experience of getting my makeup done by one of the lovely ladies at the Urban Decay counter in Debenhams. This wasn't the first time I had my makeup professionally done as I had the opportunity to go to a MAC counter last February and get pampered as a late birthday present from my aunties. Both experiences were wonderful as I never had anyone do my makeup before and had only ever done it myself, but its never as good as them.

So anyways, when I had my makeup done I was able to choose any of the products that were used in my look in return for the money that I payed for the makeover (so I pretty much either had a free makeover, or got free high end makeup, oh yeah). I decided to pick up the foundation which also came with a small bottle of the All Nighter Setting Spray, and the lipstick that she used so that I could top it up throughout the night. The lipstick that she used is featured in my Top High End Lipsticks here.

The Naked Skin Foundation is definitely my favourite high end foundation right now, and I even think that it beats MAC's Studio Fix and thats saying something. I tend to use this foundation on evenings, special occasions and nights out because it is quite pricey and I prefer saving my more expensive and better quality makeup for nicer events rather than everyday use.

It has a runny and silky consistency which is sometimes quite scary because you would think that it would run off your face quickly, especially when it boiling outside, but it surprisingly stays on for a really long time, especially after a few spritz of the setting spray. It also blends in smoothly, which is something that I really admire in a foundation because I hate foundations that take forever to blend in and dry too fast.

Furthermore, it also has buildable coverage and a demi-matte finish, but I always make sure that I go in with some pressed powder afterwards because it has become a routine of mine no matter what foundation I use. As for the finish, it leaves my skin looking luminous and healthy, seen as though I never get as much sleep as I should. I would definitely recommend this foundation for people with dry skin as it has a dewy and luminous finish, and there really is no need for powder, but this foundation seriously suits all skin types and I would recommend it no matter what skin type you have.

Who else has tried this foundation? Let me know what you think of it in the comments :)
