Its A Kylie Jenner Style Affair

April 14, 2015

I've always seen myself as having a little bit of edgy streak in my style, I mean, whats not to love about a leather jacket? black disco pants? and gold studs on pretty much everything you can stick them on? However, I never opt for only one style and always like to mix it up a bit depending on what mood I'm in each day. I generally tend to stick to casual, girly, boho and edgy.  Although, if I'm going to be brutally honest, shirt dresses and knee high socks, a top knot and no makeup generally do the trick for me.

However, recently I have been getting so much into my edgier side than the others, and one of my idols who is an absolute dream in this department is of course, little miss edge herself, Kylie Jenner. I guess my affair and total abandonment of all my other typical styles all started when I was having a monochrome stripe obsession! (as you would probably already know if you read my friday favourites post) and it was seriously getting unhealthy, like I would spend hours browsing through different online stores, putting anything that had black and white stripes on it in my basket.. until I then realised that I'm not actually Kylie Jenner and could no way afford all that stuff. But then recently, I've just been edge obsessed! I've even brought back my leather jacket (even though the weather is getting increasingly warmer each day..) and I'm also loving my gold, chunky jewellery again.

I guess I'm one of those people who choose the wrong style for the wrong season. I mean, everyone is going all boho now, especially after coachella, but I'm still leaning towards darker colours, and its not just my clothes, but my dark, smoky makeup and my constant obsession with hot pink or dark red nails.

What style are you loving at the minute? Im sure I'll probably change it back up again next week and go all Lauren Conrad with pastel coloured everything and loose, flowy knits, dresses and skirts.

  1. I'm not usually one to follow threads, at least not until everyone is completely over it which is when I usually start to like it. But recently I've been loving the boho look that has been going on since Coachella. I think it's very fitted for Spring :D

    1. I completely agree with you, I never normally start to like stuff until it's out of fashion and yeah, I do love what I've seen from coachella this year, but I'm never boho enough to pull any of it off :') x
