Makeup Haul

February 18, 2016

As most of you know, it was my 18th birthday at the start of the month and since I received a little bit of money, I've been doing quite a bit of online shopping. I also bought the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation which arrived this morning but I decided to do a separate blog post on it once I have tested it out so that I could thoroughly review it once I have a proper opinion of the product. I have however tried out each product in this post and love every single one.

The Max Factor Facefinity All Day Flawless Foundation is one of my favourite high street foundations right now. I am so looking forward to using it this summer since it is lightweight and has SPF 20. I definitely think this will be my foundation this summer, unless I come across something better. It has a lovely coverage and consistency, blends easily and lasts pretty much all day, or at least, for as long as I wear my makeup during the day.

When I went into Superdrug last week, I was immediately attracted to the packaging of the MUA Bronze & Sculpt Contour Kit. I don't wear a lot of MUA now but I used to when I was first starting to wear makeup in my early teens. I have nearly used up all of my Sleek Face Contour Kit and was in need of a new contour shade. I was so surprised with the great quality of this product, especially since it was only £4-5. The bronzer and contour shades are so pigmented, the contour being maybe a little too dark but when I use it with consideration and make sure to blend it properly, it ends up looking lovely. The bronzer shade also works nice as an overall bronze glow.

I've always been interested in the Tanya Burr Lip Glosses and finally decided to take the plunge and pick one up. The shade that I have is Luch Date and is a gorgeous nude pink. It also also very pigmented and the colour has fantastic staying power. I've definitely been looking at more shades from this range since I got this one. Another lip product that I ordered was the MAC Lipstick in the shade Angel. It's another gorgeous nude pink shade and will be perfect to use as a spring and summer lip product. I love the creamy consistency and the shimmery frost finish.

My final orders where three MAC Pro Palette Refill Pans to put in my Pro Palette that I will surely do a blog post on once I've filled it up. The shades I got where Amber Lights, Satin Taupe and Dazzlelight. My favourite of the three is definitely Amber Lights which is a rusty, burnt orange shade. It's a shade that I know I am going to get so much use out of this summer when I start experimenting with gold and bronze makeup looks. Dazzlelight is also fantastic as a highlight shade to put in my inner corners and below my brown bone. I also think that Satin Taupe looks lovely blended in the outer corners.
